hilarious comedy being staged by the Adur Theatre Company this year at the Shoreham Centre.
The launch was presented by Councillor Brian Coomber (Chairman of Adur District Council) and Councillor David Simmons who said "The Adur Arts
Festival is arguably one of the most important community events held each year in Adur allowing everyone, whatever their age, background or ability
to participate and develop their own interests."
The festival runs from June 5th to June 21st and brochures can be obtained at a vast number of outlets around Shoreham, Lancing and Southwick.

RED NOSE DAY
13 March 2009
Shoreham (Brighton City) Airport has had a fabulous RED NOSE DAY response. The staff from the Fly-In Bar & Restaurant dressed up for the day,
predominently Red in colour and the Operations Manager with the Shoreham Airport staff had their Red Nose Day Morecambe and Wise 'T' shirts on.
The staff in the restaurant gave up all their tip money which had been collected over a matter of a week, that alone raised just under £60.
A press release was put out and the public donated an amazing amount of second hand books which we sold in the Main Terminal Building and finally
reached the fabulous amount of £420.
Well done and a huge thank you to everyone.
Normandy Property Show
7/8 March 2009
Back by popular demand, Shoreham Airport is pleased to announce the return of the Normandy Property Show. Those people who took part in the show
last year were very surprised by how successful the show was and this year we aim to make the show bigger and better. For example:-
- we have increased the show to 2 days
- we have increased the exhibition space
- we are introducing seminars on key subjects including setting up a business in France, the French health system, buying a house painlessly
in France etc....
Both the seminars and the show will be free to those who sign up via the website in advance. www.normandypropertyshow.com/
As with last year we are retaining the same formula for stands - geographical exclusivity for each area for estate agents, and professional
exclusivity for other trades / interests, for example removal company, surveyors, mortgage companies. We found this approach extremely helpful
last year and all our stand holders were happy to advertise the show knowing that their competitors would not be there!
We will be having an exhibitors' dinner in the Fly-In Bar on the Saturday night. One of the things I found so useful as a result of last year has
been the excellent networking and building up of a network of high quality professionals to whom I now refer clients.
So I look forward to warmly welcoming you to the Normandy Property Show 2009 at Shoreham.

RAFA Shoreham by sea Branch hosted a visit and lunch to Shoreham Airport on Friday 27th February for ten children and their carers.
The following info was sent to us by Pauline Fitter who organised the visit to this country.
The Chernobyl Children's Lifeline was set up in Haslemere, Surrey in 1992, to bring children affected by the Chernobyl Fallout, for a recuperative
holiday, in clean air. It is now a National Charity, bringing approx. 4,000 children per year. They have for sixteen years, concentrated on Belarus,
which received 70% of the contamination. This year they have also included Ukraine, around the Chernobyl area itself which is where Friday's group
came from. Some children are very sick, and cannot travel. however the healthier ones can. Every child has a damaged immune system at the very least,
plus thyroid, stomach and heart problems. Three-four weeks in clean air, eating clean food has been proven to boost the immune system, get rid of
built up contamination and generally give them about two-three years good health. Then the adult immune system kicks in and the children have a
fighting chance. They raise the money for air fares, visas, feeding and entertaining them, approx. £5,000 per group. They also make sure they visit
a dentist and optician. There are about a quarter of a million childen at any one time, waiting to come, so when chosen, the parents are so grateful,
and it will most likely be the childrens first and last holiday, so they try to make it a real 'trip of a lifetime.
